  • Transcript Hello, this is Congresswoman Joyce Batey at 614-220-0003. I am calling to invite you to a live telephone town hall I'm hosting right now. To join, just stay on the line. I will be sharing an update on what's been happening in Washington, D.C. over the past couple weeks and take your questions again. To participate, stay on the line. To ask a question, press Star three. The call will begin momentarily. Please hold while we connect you to your Access Live event. This Access Live event is currently in progress. Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded, or rebroadcast. Again, for those of you just tuning in live, don't forget, you can press star three at any time if you have a question you'd like to share. I think we have a lot of people on the line now, and we're probably going to get a call from someone from the third Congressional District. We have one. I'm Cassandra. I'm the moderator for this evening's conversation. And we certainly do. Congresswoman, we have Lauren Campbell from Columbus on the line. So, Lauren, I'm going to allow you to share your question with the congresswoman and her colleagues. Okay, thank you, Lauren. We can hear you, Lauren. So let's go right to you asking your question. So my question is about Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, ssdi. I'm a resident of Columbus, born and raised. I am on SSDI, which I've been for over 10 years now. I'm also on Medicare. I also am on section 8. I am very frightened that these programs will either get cut or just abolished altogether. My livelihood depends on them. And I'm very scared. So I'm just wondering to know if it's possible for him to do that, and if so, what can you guys do to stop it? Well, let me just say thank you for that. And certainly we too, are concerned about what Elon Musk and and Trump are doing because we know with Social Security, it secures and ensures that more than.

Just last week, 8,259 people got Nomorobo protection!

This has been a huge help to us. I have a question. We get quite a few calls where the phone rings once and no one is there. There is not a record of who called on Called ID. Could these be robo calls that did not get blocked in time? Is it a problem with Comcast?

VERY GOOD!I checked my phone logs and learned that many (most?) are from charitable organizations ( some are dubious)-. Easter Seals robo calls at least two days each week and yesterday showed SIX calls - repeatedly-!!

Love the one ring and then they're gone! My husband and I always give a little YAY!

It seems that you catch at least one call a day for us. Good job and Thank You!

I have had it for a long time and I can't tell that it's done anything. I still get up to ten robocalls a day.

Great service- some of these guys still seem to get through, but overall Nomorobo does very well.

Great, but does ring once...then disconnects some % of time...?

Where have you been all of my life? Thank you. When the phone rings once I say "alright, got another one."

The number of frustrating robocalls is exploding, but there are more options than ever to fight back
