I know we have many thousands already on, and a lot more joining. So I just wanted to start by saying a good evening to everybody in the Hudson Valley. I hope everyone's off to a good summer so far. Tonight's town hall. We've got a lot to cover. And so. I generally speak for two or three minutes at the beginning, just to give an overview. Tonight I might speak a few more minutes. Because we've specifically gotten. A ton, an unprecedented number, actually, of calls into my office, both in offices in the district and in DC about this major piece of legislation that was just passed through the Congress and signed by the president on the 4 July. The bill has been called. The big, beautiful bill. Unfortunately, and it gives me no pleasure to say it, I think, unfortunately. It's an ugly bill and a harmful bill, and one that I believe betrays a lot of folks in our district, so I wanted to talk. Through the facts. No spin but the facts. In terms of what this bill addresses before we open up for questions. Obviously happy to take questions on anything and everything, but most of the calls and questions, emails and texts we've been getting into our office have been really deep concern for individuals, for their families for their community from some of the harms and cuts in this bill. So I'm going to talk about the bill just for a moment. I also just want to reiterate before I start talking about this bill. What I am working on, what I am working towards and for which a lot of you have heard me say this, and I'll always say it over and over.
