Tonight we're going to hear a conversation about Voice of the Martyrs work in █████ and what our Christian brothers and sisters there are enduring. Please stay on the line. And Global Ministry Partners on behalf of persecuted Christians that we serve together with you, I really want to thank you. So I really want to pause for a moment and help you envision. Imagine our precious Christian family members from around the world and the genuine gratitude that they have for your prayers, your activity, sharing their testimonies and your gifts of love that encourage them. This is what ████ and I are on the call tonight. We experience this everywhere we go around the world. We meet with our precious Christian family members and their hearts are just full of gratitude for you. And it's the wonderfully beautiful thing about love and fellowship among members of the body of Christ all around the world is what we're talking about here. It's an absolutely wonderful thing. And so I really pray constantly that the Lord will show you this, that you'll experience this, that it's not lost on you, that this is the prayers are powerful. They're real, they're meaningful. Your gifts matter. They matter beyond just doing something to serve our persecuted Christian family members. They matter in terms of profound encouragement that they experience through those gifts. And then when you share their testimonies with other Christians here in the ██ where you live, you're expanding that fellowship which glorifies God. It honors Christ. So thank you so very much. Not just for me and the other staff here at ███, but truly from the persecuted Christians around the world that love you and truly love you and pray for you tonight. I'm really excited about this call. I love to talk about the topic of Christians living in severely restricted nations. And we love to talk about this because we bear witness to the truth that the kingdom of God advances despite the enemy's very hard work, very significant investment in opposition. So tonight we're going to focus on █████ and especially hear from our brother ██████, who is the leading expert in representing Chinese Christians and what they're facing and what God is doing there. On the way to that, though, I want to make a brief commentary about our Christian family members inside ████. Would you pray for them? Would you pray that they will be encouraged, that they will have the Lord's special, even supernatural peace and joy in their hearts because they've been going on a roller coaster of feeling hopeful and elated that maybe they could have new freedom and things would turn out that way. And of course, the newest things that we're hearing seem to the opposite. And it's an up and down, up and down for them. And they're living this experience. They're being faithful. These are wonderfully brave Christians that we serve and serve with, and yet we should really hold them up in prayer. And tonight, with regard to █████, we're going to talk about government surveillance used as a tool of persecution and opposition to Christians and to our faith. And on the way to getting to that with Brother ███, I want to mention something about that. With regard to ████, I came here to the Voice of the Martyrs and joined the staff in ████. And then in ████ is the first time that I began working personally directly with the leaders of the underground house church movements inside ████. And during that year, ████, we heard news of this and then we experienced it. And what happened is a European technology company, Nokia Siemens, had sold technology to the Iranian government that the Iranian government began using to monitor cell phone calls, all of their populace, and then later Internet activity as well. But we experienced this firsthand. We were working directly with underground Christians there inside ████. And shortly after we heard about this in the news,
