Real hope that our voice and standing up makes a real difference. And to bear witness against immigration enforcement, which has been carried out so cruelly by this █████ administration. This administration's paramilitary of ICE and CBP agents have really terrorized a lot of our neighbors and communities across ███████, but across our state. And I've been proud to lead efforts pushing back against this in the sixth and joining lockstep with Team Maryland, including Representative ██████, and with Governor █████ and our local leaders and nonprofits because of the efforts of our faith leaders, our businesses, our grassroots, and this Team Maryland, really pushing back. I'm pleased to report that the construction of the detention warehouse facility in ██████████ county has been halted due to a court order. It's not over, but it's a significant legal milestone, and it's in part because of the incredible work of so many, and most specifically of our Attorney General, █████████████, who's been a tireless and tremendous advocate against so many of the █████ administration actions and against this. You know, it shows that when we show up, we push back and we fight together. We can truly make a difference in stopping so many of these atrocious actions. But we must not stop and make sure that this facility never opens its doors. As I often say, people are not packages. I also want to acknowledge tonight the president's war in ████, his war of choice. And I imagine we'll have a lot of questions about that tonight. But I do call it the president's war because it was not authorized by Congress. And I do hope that Representative ██████ speaks to this as well. But I want to continue to press this administration for accountability, transparency, and a strategy that protects ███████'s, you know, ███████. I did vote yes on the War Powers Resolution, which would have ended all military actions in ████ without clear congressional approval. Unfortunately, it failed to pass by only one vote, but I will continue working with all of our colleagues to push for an end to this illegal and ill conceived driver of global chaos. I also want to acknowledge the recent resignations of Representatives ████████ and ████████. They are no longer serving in the ████ house of Representatives and I have to say rightly so. The reported abuses committed by these two is beyond inexcusable and could potentially trigger criminal penalties. The era of the powerful abusing others that work with him, particularly women, is just over and I will hold accountable colleagues regardless of power. And I do believe we should have justice for our survivors and protection for those who come forward. And then last, I just want to talk a little bit about affordability that is crushing our six district families. People are telling me that the climate.
