And we encourage you to reach out to our office either by phone, by email, by our website. It's █████████████████ or stop into one of our offices. And on that, I'm going to get straight into it so we have as much time as possible and open it up for questions. Thank you so very much, Congressman. And folks, you can press star6 to subscribe to the congressman's newsletter and star3 to ask a question this afternoon. Our first caller is █████ of ██████████. █████, you're live on the call with the congressman. Please go ahead. Yeah. Thank you for taking my call. First of all, I'd like to it's not my question. I'd like to say I support the actions that ICE is doing around the nation. I think it's fully been a part of the democratic regime, the first go around that brought this upon us, that we're having to do this. And now they're trying to withhold funds in order to accomplish this. The second thing, and I know it's a very small part of the national way of life, but is there any way that Congress can pass something to get rid of this twice a year time change? Thank you. Well, █████, thank you for that. Well, first of all, I appreciate your comments on Ice. And obviously, that's been a big conversation that's been going on here for a while. But first of all, I want to say is that immigration enforcement is not a partisan issue. I mean, we've been enforcing immigration for quite some time, and that's with Republican administrations, with Democrat administrations. This has kind of changed a little bit, in my humble opinion, now that there's so much. Social media. And there's this kind of the fact that you can go online, find out where somebody from federal law enforcement is doing an action, get a bunch of people out there to try to disrupt that action is something that's new. And I think that that's caused some issues, I think made it more difficult for law enforcement to do their jobs. And I think it's put people in danger, not just law enforcement, but the people that they're trying to apprehend that may be illegal in this country and also the people that are protesting. I think that we need calmer heads to prevail, to start talking about this and figuring out how, as a nation, we want to deal with illegal immigration, especially folks who have crossed the border with ill intents towards this country. This is going to be an ongoing conversation. Obviously, this is one of the conversations that's slowing down getting our final appropriations bill that funds the Department of Homeland security through. But I am very hopeful that we will find some common ground that keeps citizens safe and make sure that we are allowing law enforcement to enforce the laws of this country. And I'll say if people are not happy with those laws, there's always a process to change the laws. But we should expect at a minimum for our law enforcement to do their jobs.
