If you would like to ask the speaker a question, please press 0 Aging Infrastructure and Changing Economic Conditions the draft LRTP recommends a balanced approach to achieve these goals. The plan continues investment in completing the voter approved Measure M freeway and roadway projects while recognizing that there are fewer opportunities to extend roadways. At the same time, it includes more frequent and faster transit service in the corridors where demand is expected to be highest, closing gaps in the county's bicycle and pedestrian network and making it easier to connect between different ways of traveling through investments in mobility hubs and first and last mile connections. The plan also continues investing in pavement maintenance, signal timing and other strategies that keep the transportation system reliable and prepare for future challenges. Before developing the draft plan, OCTA conducted an initial round of public outreach, collecting more than ███████ surveys and hearing from thousands of residents and stakeholders across Orange County. We consistently heard that traffic congestion remains a top concern and respondents supported a balanced transportation system with reliable transit, better connections to everyday destination and continue local transportation funding. The draft plan reflects that public input, together with our technical analysis and recommendations from OCTA's recent planning studies and efforts and into a single coordinated transportation strategy for Orange county through ████. Whether you drive, ride, transit, walk, bike or use a combination of travel options, your perspectives are important to us. This public review period is your opportunity to voice your input before the plan is finalized later this year.
