Who lost their lives last night? The pilots and all those injured at LaGuardia, that tragic incident. The pilots are heroes and you know, and so are you know, so many who, as you know, were injured and recovering from their injuries, including a flight attendant. I wish them full and speedy recovery. And to the two who lost their lives, may their memory be a blessing. Currently, as many of you probably know from reading the news or if you've been to the airport yourself, because we are in a partial government shutdown with dhs, the Department of Homeland Security being partially shut down while being shut down. While negotiations are ongoing, I'm continuing to work across the aisle to find a solution. I've spent the last month or so working closely with many folks, including the now Secretary of Homeland Security, █████████████████. But as a result of the shutdown, we've seen because TSA workers are not getting paid, which I think is completely wrong, we've seen brutal lines at airports across the country making travel extremely tough for a lot of Jersey families. Very long lines. We gotta solve this and do it now. We gotta come together like many of us have been doing, sit at the table and work out a deal and get our government get Homeland back operational, including making sure the TSA is operational. Many people in Homeland are not getting paid, including TSA workers. They are struggling a lot of them aren't able to pay their bills, so they're going and doing other jobs. We got to get this taken care of. So we get our airports moving. And, of course, our homeland, especially now with the conflict in ████, we want to make sure everything is safe and secure, make sure that FEMA has the resources. Because right now, these critical departments of Homeland Security are shut down. FEMA and Coast Guard, a lot of them are not the departments. While some people in those areas are getting paid, the TSA workers aren't. And, you know, part of what I think and I've been working on is, you know, dealing with getting some reforms, common sense guardrails for ICE to prevent abuses, ensure the right training. And those are areas after incidents that you, I'm sure, have read about when to get done. I think there's a way forward here.
