It is now my honor to introduce our host for the evening, your congresswoman Sheila Sherp. Was. Ranking member of the subcommittee on the Middle east and Proud representative of Florida's 20th congressional district. Hi. Good evening, everyone. This is Congresswoman Sheila, chef Eliza McCormick, and usually I like to be on video so we can talk, but right now we're heading for. We just left one. Of our town halls, and we also wanted to make sure that we can have our teleton. Hall, especially in this moment, so everyone is aware. Just a reminder. We are having an 100 tour stop where we're going from city to city, town to town and having in person town halls so we can touch people where they are and we can talk more intimately about what is going on. I call them a family conversation where we can get real about what's going on and how we can continue fighting back, not just in Congress. But in the courts. And in the community to make sure that every voice is being heard. Now, tonight, what we're going to be discussing, first off, is going to be this big, ugly bill. The reason why it's so important that we engage and we tell you what's going on is because this bill has the potential, or not even potential, it will hurt so many of our families. It's threatening to cut and. Kick over 16 million people off of Medicaid. Now, a lot of people don't. Know what Medicaid really does, but Medicaid, truthfully, is a landline safety. Meant for some of our most vulnerable. For example, some of our premature babies who need services actually get their services through Medicaid. Now, a lot of the hospital. Hospitals are saying if Medicaid is cut, they won't be able to actually assist. Our premature babies. And we also have Medicaid for people who have extreme disabilities. Now imagine if there's a young man whose name is Jordan, who's 27 years old, living with cerebral palsy. It is Medicaid that helps take care of Jordan from his wheelchair. To his nurse that helps his. Parents actually give him? A life of dignity. And this is what they're choosing to cut off children who are premature people like Jordan and also some of our seniors and our veterans who use Medicaid. For their long term assistant care. We can't afford to just sit back and allow them to make these cuts. Especially when it will hurt our most vulnerable. And all they're trying to do is give a real tax break to the rich. This is unconscionable, and we will not stand for it. And so tonight we're going to take a deeper dive. So, you know, what's going on, and at the end, we're asking everyone to be engaged and. To reach out to your electives, let them know how you feel about it, but also. To bring the awareness of what is going on, because we get so many questions about this big. Ugly bill. In addition, we will talk about the most recent things that have been happening. Especially when it comes to.

Just last week, 8,280 people got Nomorobo protection!

Great through this last election ad cycle...I still get a couple of survey calls that ring four times...

Very pleased. Best app ever.
— Molly M, Nov 29th, 9:46am
It is the greatest. I tell all my friends and family about it.

Overall good service. Would be better if four-digit Caller ID numbers could be blocked. Would be much better if the phone didn't ring at all on a blocked caller, instead of allowing one ring.

It's great.

Nomorobo is wonderful. We were harassed constantly prior to installing Nomorobo. Immediately after installing, the calls nearly ceased. We get very few robo-calls now, and it's wonderful. Thanks for a great service.
