So again, it's not fair to Americans, American citizens who work so very hard. Pay their tax dollars. To the government, and they should be obviously, first and only. To receive medical care in this country. So beyond that, some Senate Democrats are insisting on expanding subsidies under the Affordable Care act as part of the shutdown negotiations. Now, let me be clear. I recognize that it is very important to have this discussion. Because I have heard from my constituents. We are quite a few thousand constituents in the district who rely on these subsidies to afford coverage through health care exchange. But I don't think it should be contingent upon opening the government. I think the government should open up first and then we can have some of these discussions. I frankly think a good alternative would be to give more money to the community health centers. As far as the subsidies are concerned, we need to put guardrails if we are going to expand. But again, we can have those conversations. The speaker of the House has committed to having those conversations, but not until we open up the government. Again. I communicated with my party leadership that we do have to have those discussions. All right. But holding the government hostage during these negotiations is irresponsible. And harmful. The American people, in my opinion, deserve better. Before I take the call, I want to remind you, because I want to hear from you on this particular issue. I have a poll question later on on this particular issue with regard to the health care subsidies.
