To codify a lot of these executive orders, countries are starting to find out that negotiations will no longer be a one way street. We're tired of what's been going on in the past. In my opinion, we do need to put America first. So President Trump and Senator Rubio, which Rubio is now the Secretary State, have been forceful in pressing countries to accept terms that protect American interests as it relates to the proposed tariffs. President Trump made a promise to put American farmers, producers and workers first, and he has kept that promise. I know we have a lot of farmers in our district. The deals he is making are an important part of leveling the playing field, securing our borders, of course, and saving lives. This is the priority, folks. We need to secure the borders, level the playing field with the tariffs, and save lives. So we're also committed to restoring American energy dominance, part of which requires unleashing all safe means of domestic energy production. Again, I want to emphasize safe, okay. My colleagues and I in the House have passed several measures to help achieve this goal. And President Trump continues to pursue it through multiple executive orders. Now, again, we need to codify. The House and Senate need to codify these executive orders. I can also say that the first few months of the Trump administration have been exciting.
