Good evening. I'm your state Senator, ███████████. I'm holding a live telephone town hall meeting discussing important issues related to the 32nd district. To join this live event, simply stay on the line. If you can't take part in this call but need assistance, please contact me at ████████████. Again to join me in this important event, Stay on the line and you'll be connected to the call. I'm excited to spend the next hour with you as we discuss key Pennsylvania issues. Please hold while we connect you to your Access Live event. This Access Live event is currently in progress. Please note this call may be monitored, recorded, or rebroadcast. If you would like to ask a question during Today's event, press Star 3 on your telephone keypad. At any time than they were even just a few years ago, AI has really changed everything in how scammers lure their victims. And so because of that, it's often harder to detect a scam. That's why education and awareness are absolutely essential. The more you know, the more likely your personal information and money will stay where it belongs to in your bank account. So I know that your office hosted our specialists from the Attorney General's office for presentations. I have no doubt that we'll be partnering again soon, and hopefully people will attend that to learn as much as they can about how to not be scammed. And again, if there's one takeaway with regard to scams, do not be afraid to just hang up your phone. Cease communication with someone you don't know. If it is important, I promise you, you will receive something in the mail. So if you don't know who's calling, you don't answer. Let it go to voicemail. You can then listen to those voicemails after the fact. Thank you, General. And when he's referring to just hang up, not now, because this is definitely not a scam call. But if you do, I just want to throw that out there because we want to get that information out to you. But just as a reminder for those of us who are just joining, this is Senator ███████████, and I'm here with Attorney General ███████████. If you have any questions, please press Star three at any time. General, if we can talk about legislation, is there legislation that lawmakers should be focused on right now to aid the work you're doing? Well, so, Senator ███████, thank you for asking me that question. So I want to focus on Senate Bill ███. So Senate Bill ███ is a bill that both of our offices have worked on that. Would that would update the Pennsylvania Telemarketer Registration act, otherwise known as the Do Not Call law. This change to the existing law would bring us up to date with modern technology, which ties directly into your previous question to me. And it will go a long way in protecting consumers from telemarketers and solicitors who are more than just a nuisance. I mean, these calls aren't just annoying. They many times they're illegal. And this law will give us more teeth to shut down these types of calls. These calls can really, really cause harm. And so, again, thank you, Senator, for bringing that up. I can't tell you how grateful I am. We appreciate your hard work on this. Definitely in this field. And as I.
