As the chief election official for Harris County, Clerk Hudspeth is responsible for administering the special primary and general election. In addition to the duties of the administration of election, the Clerk's Office records and maintains the records of the Commissioner's court and vital documents such as property records, marriage license, birth and death certificate. She's a great public servant, does a lot of other community service beyond running a very large and capable staff and our countywide election for 4.8 million residents and over 2.6 million registered voters approximately and growing.
