Once you talk with our receptionist, it has been a very interesting time, as you understand here in this country with what's going on in ████, with what's going on here in the █████████████, with the issue of funding Homeland Security, the only appropriations bill that has not been signed into law by the President, of the ██ bills, that's the only one left out. We've given the Democrats four times to vote on that and they opposed it each time and ultimately was shut down. And now we're waiting for the Senate to come up with a reconciliation bill that will then enable us to move forward with a stopgap for the Homeland Security and make sure that TSA and ICE and Customs and Border and FEMA and the Coast Guard are all paid as well as other functions of the Homeland Security Department. And they ought to be paid if they're working. And again, I'll vote the fifth time for it. I just wish my Democrat colleagues would do the same. That's the reality that's going on here. But beyond that, there are other things. Last week was a wonderful week. Generally we don't say that about ██████████ week because that's when you pay your taxes. They're due on the ████. Well, we were looking forward to that this year because we've been talking about the impact of one big beautiful bill for quite some time now, since last ████████ when it was signed into law by the president after passing it, which gave a prevented in my district a ██% tax hike that would have taken place. Again, all Republicans voted for that. The Democrats opposed it. They opposed giving you that tax hike. And I need to make that because that's a point of fact that of course the media isn't talking about. But that one big beautiful bill gave that ██% tax decrease that would have taken place had we not passed it. It increased take home pay by up to $██
