The people in my education committee I chair the education workforce committee in Congress and here in the House and I said I want our committee hearings to be done in such a way so that second grade class could turn into our committee hearing. And the teacher would not be embarrassed. When the parents asked why did you let my kids listen to. What went on at that education committee. They didn't even act like adults. So that's how we behave ourselves there. Republicans and Democrats. Disagree at times. But we do it. In a humane fashion and we do it in a respectful fashion and. Things that are popping up here and seems like Iran is kind of flailing. Tossing out missiles. At surrounding nations which doesn't necessarily make them their allies when they're doing that type of thing. But our forces have. Performed as we expect just just awesome awesome performance and what they're doing. Sadly we've lost ██ lives. We mourn those lives lost. As well as some of the injury. Of our military also. But that is sometimes part of war and conflict. But we certainly want to keep that to a minimum. Then of course the issue going on with a shutdown of homeland security. At that budget. Let me make it very clear right from the beginning tonight because the media doesn't tell you the full story. They talk about Congress not getting this passed and getting the funding for Homeland Security. Well, that's not true. The ████ house. Asked out of the appropriations committee weeks ago now ██ plus days ago. We passed the full funding for the Homeland Security department. We did it in a bipartisan way. It was approved and agreed to by Democrats and Republicans coming out of the House. It was also agreed to by the responding committees in the Senate. So. It was bipartisan and bicameral.
