TRANSCRIPT

Well, hey, Mr. Lopez, good evening. Very briefly, my name is Lee Evans, giving you a call from Sydney on behalf of doctors Without Borders as calls monitored quality. It goes without saying, Mr. Lopez, that we're most grateful for your support of Doctors Without Borders and efforts to save lives in crisis situations. Very quickly. I'm figuring that you've been following the news, Mr. Lopez, about the 6.3 magnitude earthquake that on October 7 had devastated regions in western Afghanistan. Well, fortunately, Mr. Lopez, we were already there. We've been managing the regional hospital's pediatric section, but in light of this tragedy, we've been forced to set up several tents outside the hospital just to assist with the triage for emergency cases, and most cases are of women and children. We're determined, though, Mr. Lopez, to continue providing care for these patients. And yet the death toll still is rising. It's over 2400 as it stands. I was just hoping that you might be willing to make a show of support. It's truthfully the generosity and compassion of friends like yourself, Mr. Lopez, that allowed us to have a presence in western Afghanistan in the first place. Only, in light of this recent tragedy, I was hoping that you might be willing to accommodate a life saving aid donation of $200. That's something you can do. That's good. Okay, well, that's tremendous. I appreciate your support, Mr. Lopez. For your convenience, we do process these gifts on any visa, Master, Amex, or discover which would you like to use it?
