Hi, this is █████████, director of elections for the St George Election Authority, with important update to share. If you'd like to opt out of Future calls, press 9 at any time. I'd like to invite you to join me on the phone for a wise community conversation taking place right now as we talk about our new satellite money locations and extended hours for in person sat voting in ████. This outreach tool is a way to share your thoughts and ideas on ways we can work improve our local elections. I have an opportunity to ask me questions directly by pressing the start button on your telephone keypad at any time during our conversation tonight. Or you can just listen to others questions, all from your home. If you'd like to join the call, simply stay on the line and you'll be connected. I look forward to talking with you. If you have any questions after this call, you can contact my office at ████████████. Please stay on the line as our telephone town hall is about to start. Thank you. I don't like seeing more concern, not with the fact that we have the two weeks of no excuse in person absentee voting. But he was concerned with the requirement for the photo ID requirement for voters. That has been a common concern about someone. You obviously was asked. And what I can say to that is that in ███████████ county. The number of voters who do not have a state issue driver's license or non driver's license is about 1 to 2% of our voters that I'm aware of. That doesn't mean that they don't have one, but it just means that we don't have their number in our database. We have the ability for voters, if they don't have a state issue phone ID under the phone ID law, that they can go to the Secretary State's office. And they can request an assistance from the Secretary of state office to get these foot ID so they have opportunity to vote with low cost to them. We also have the provision where if they have the Fed ID with them, they can still put their ballot in a provisional envelope of blue provisional envelope. We will compare that record. Anderson Tron file and if that matches, then our staff will, with a bipartisan team, open up the ballot, put that through the scanner and add their votes to the total before we certify the election results so voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots even if they don't have a voter ID with them at the point place. But the rationale was that we wanted to make sure that we were giving the correct ballot to the correct voter, and we knew exactly that this person, Voter A, is Voter A and isn't somebody else. That's why the legislature passed both the photo ID law as well as the requirements for the two weeks of no excuse in person absentee voting at the same time back in ████, these changes went to effect here in ████████. we appreciate that if you
