TRANSCRIPT
Hello, it's Congressman ██████████, and yes, this is really me. It's not a I of my voice. I'm inviting you to join us tonight for our town hall, a completely live, unscripted event where you set the agenda, happening in just a few minutes. Whether you're fired up about an issue or just want to listen in, maybe you have a conversation. I ask you to join our conversation. Stay on the line. You'll be automatically connected if you get disconnected from Tonight's call. Dial ████████████ to reconnect. We'll be starting shortly. You are joining a live conference already in progress. Please be aware that your local phone company may leave your line open for up to ██ seconds after you leave the conference. If you would like to ask the speaker a question, please press 0. It was kind of fun to, to brag a little bit on myself. The clerk's office just came out with a record of people with ███% voting record. There were only ██ members of the Florida of the United States House of Representatives that had not ██%, not ██%, but ███% voting in ████. And ██████████ is at the top of the list. So it's so razor thin, the margins are so razor thin that you have to be. And guess what? When I'm there voting, all of north ███████ is there voting. So I just wanted to pass that on. If I don't know if that's going to be out there, maybe we got to put it out in our newsletter, let you know what our voting record is.███%. We've missed those votes and we've taken some, some hot votes, including on the all kinds of things. Let's go and get the questions. I could talk, I've got four pages, but I know from talking to so many people. Let's get to, let's get to the action. So, ███████, let's go right to question number one. What do you got, ███████? Who's out there? Excellent. We've got ███████, ███, ███████. We have that polling question, too. About time change. But let's start right off the way ███████ in ███████████, you're live right now. Please go ahead with your question. Thank you. Good evening, Congressman. I am ███████, myself. Yes, I am. I'm trying, I'm beside myself to understand why you voted against the War Powers Resolution. It is your primary job as a congressman, as a member of the House to vote on me. Money and war, and yet you gave that away by voting no. Why? So, ███████, first of all. Thank you for the question. So the War Powers Resolution act came before. I support the President in using his Authority under Article 2. Article 2 gives the President authority as commander in chief of the military. Our War Powers act that was passed in the ███ says that the President if he consults the leaders of Congress and gives them notice of what he's doing which he did, ███████, which he did, then it's okay for him to proceed. So Congress has said it's okay for you to proceed. Now he has it's either ██ to ██ days that he has to come back to Congress. I don't expect this campaign lasting that long. I don't know exactly how it it's going to go but I'm guessing it's going to go another few weeks. But ███████, Iran can't continue killing Americans. Iran was just a few weeks away from building a nuclear weapon. There's no doubt in my mind that they.
