TRANSCRIPT
Hello, it's Congressman ██████████, and yes, this is really me. It's not a I of my voice. I'm inviting you to join us tonight for our town hall, a completely live, unscripted event where you set the agenda, happening in just a few minutes. Whether you're fired up about an issue or just want to listen in, maybe you have a conversation. I ask you to join our conversation. Stay on the line. You'll be automatically connected if you get disconnected from Tonight's call. Dial ████████████ to reconnect. We'll be starting shortly. You are joining a live conference already in progress. Please be aware that your local phone company may leave your line open for up to ██ seconds after you leave the conference. If you would like to ask the speaker a question, please press ████. It's what they do and how smart they are and how outgoing they are. I want to congratulate the Bean team. We had a record number of cases closed. It's what we do. Serving you is what we do. And so if you have any issues with any federal agencies, I can't control how Congress is going to vote or we can pass a bill, although we do pretty good. I can control how we serve you. And I can't get up. I can't guarantee an answer. I cannot guarantee that VA is going to answer your question this or that way, but I can't get us in line to get an answer. And so for many of you, that's something that we do. We have many, in many agencies, backdoor lines that were able to communicate with them and bring people from █████████████████ from the back of the line to the front of the line. We did a record ████ cases last year. We returned. How about this? Federal government was keeping over $8 million of Northeast Florida return residents money. And guess what? People want their money, and we want to bring it back to you. So that's something that we have done. Let us know. Also, the big beautiful bill, also known as the Working Families tax cut, is now in full effect. The IRS now is open for open filing. You can file your tax return now. You're seeing firsthand what that means to a lot of folks. The increase for the money's return is over $███████ per household. That's a big deal. And if we can help anybody with that or connect you with something, I tell everybody, go to see your account. I give lots of talks, lots of talks on taxes because I'm on the Ways and Means Committee, which handles writing that bill. But everybody's different. And so we want to make sure that you do what's best for you. But if you're a senior, you gotta be loving that new tax deduct that will shelter your Social Security. So many of you, if you're just on Social Security, you're no longer going to be paying taxes on just the Social Security. That's a big deal. It went down last night. Did you see the video? Your congressman, that's me, was in the thick of the debate on the SAVE Act. I also did a little post video on the capital Steps. We went and voted, we debated, we voted on the SAVE act. If you're not aware, the SAVE act, which is Saving America voter eligibility, which has two components that we voted on last night. One is you have to be an American citizen or prove your citizenship prior to you registering to the vote. And here is a the next component which I don't think it's a big deal, but it was heavily debated. Show a vote, a picture ID before you vote. It was largely a party line vote. Every Republican voted for it. Every Democrat with the exception of one voted against it. And here's the irony. The irony is this, every single member of Congress before we vote, every time has to insert their voter ID into the voting machine on the House floor to vote. But this passed this past the House which now is already in the Senate. ███████████ is the President of Senate from South ██████. We hope they will take this up and pass it and get it to get it to the President's desk. You know,
