If I can be of assistance, please visit my ██████████████████████████ or call my office at ████████████. Thank you. Please hold while we connect you to your Access Live event. This Access Live event is currently in progress. Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded or rebroadcast again. Star 3 on your telephone keypad, press that gets you through to our receptionist who will then put you in the queue. Hope you'll do that. That's what makes this valuable evening. And some of the questions that will be asked are the same that you will have asked and they have the same interests and concerns and then others with other questions. You'll hear the comments on that as well. So please make it a good evening. If you don't want to do that, of course you can just listen to all the others, ask the questions, make the comments or the suggestions and hear my answers. And I'll try to keep as complete as possible, but as short as possible as well. Star 3 that'll put you through the receptionist. A lot of things have been happening here at the Capitol. We've had some, I think some great success in getting some key issues through, including of our ██ appropriations bills, ██ of those have now been passed and signed by the President. That's the first time in a long time, probably close to a couple decades, that we've passed the full budget Appropriations package of ██ bills through regular order, which means going through the committee process, then the floor of the House, then over the Senate, back from the Senate if there are changes, conference committee, and then ultimately a vote that send it to the President. Eleven of the twelve have been passed. The one that remains is being held up right now by the Democrats in the Senate. That's the Homeland Security bill seeking to get some provisions for ICE and their operations. But in doing so, they're holding up funding for the TSA agents at the airports, FEMA and the FEMA work that needs to be done. Certainly with springtime coming up, it's hard to believe, but it will be coming pretty soon. The potential for natural disasters and the like, we will need those dollars there. So hopefully cooler heads will prevail in the Senate and that final bill on homeland security will pass, and ultimately we can send that to the president as well. In the meantime, I've had the privilege of going back to a number of my communities in the past several weeks, reporting to them that their community project Legislative Director project was passed and has been signed into law. We've secured project funding for all ██ of my count for $██ million for over a dozen projects which are in every county, at least one in every county in the Michigan 5th district. That's the appropriations process. That's how it should be used. Tax dollars that are sent from locals ought to be used in appropriate ways. And so we've had those projects dealing with water filtration, with enhancement of water supplies, piping and other projects that we've been get back for the district. So glad to represent the 5th district on that. Before I go any farther, let me just mention this is a live tele town hall. In order for it to be a tele town hall, we have to have people who will ask me questions or make a comment or give a suggestion. And you do that by pressing Star three on your telephone keypad or.
