So federal legislation is required to tighten up some of these states that don't perform the way Louisiana does. However, the Senate is. Is refusing to pass a bill because their. Their Royal Court rules, as I call them, they refuse to change their filibuster rules. Some of us not very ready to accept that level of weakness from the Senate. And we're using our leverage in the House to force consequences. My office is going to remain engaged in that fight as we seek the Save America act and other important election integrity measures. That requires a performance of the Senate. So we have to leverage those guys, and that's what we're trying to do. We're also working to consider an ndaa. As I mentioned, this is a bill that my office heavily influenced. I'm on the Armed Services Committee. We put a tremendous amount of work into the NDAA every year. This bill would authorize President █████'s priorities for our military, provide many wins for Louisiana shipbuilders, and strengthen the lethality of our armed forces in general. Working to pair the NDAA procedurally with the Save America act so we can send that to the Senate as one package, basically connecting the Save America act to what's referred to up here as a must pass bill like the ndaa. For some of the battle is over the NDAA this week because we're trying to force the attachment of the Save America act to that bill. This is complicated, hard legislative work when you have, when you have a Senate that, that forces itself to be burdened with the. With the current iteration.
