  • Transcript Good evening. This is ████. Congressman █████████████ at ████████████ I'm calling to invite you to join a live telephone town hall that I'm holding right now. I wanted to give you a few updates on my work in Congress and what I'm doing to serve the first congressional district of Texas. I'll also be taking questions from each Texans, so just stay on the line to be connected. Please hold while we connect you to your access live event. The access live event is currently in music hold and will start momentarily. Please note. Hey. Good evening, everybody. This is Congressman █████████████. What a pleasure it is to be with you coming to you from █████████████. It's about eight five eastern time. I know that. Because they turn off the air conditioning in this building at ██:██ sharp. So the AC is officially off and things are warming up quickly. In the offense. We're really glad to be with you. This is going to be a great hour to talk about what's going on in particular. We're going to focus on the one big, beautiful bill which was passed, and then we'll also talk about district work period time. That's coming up. And answer as many questions as we can from you. Also tonight. We're really glad to be able to be joined at the bottom of the hour at ███. ███ Central ███ █████ time. We're going to be joined by █████████████. Who? Is a member of Congress from ███████. She's on the Energy and Commerce Committee and the House rules committee, and so there's lots of stuff going on with ████ I want to introduce you to her and talk to her a little bit and give you a chance to hear. From her about some of the things in energy ecommerce. And rules. So stay with us to the bottom of the hour, and then she'll be on. But before we get there, I just want to remind you how much I love doing this. I love getting to talk to you guys directly, and we've done lots of in person town halls and lots of in person interactions in the district, and that's what our time back in the district is for. But even when we're in ██████████████, we want to stay connected. So we try to do one of these. As often as we can. This evening's event is one thing I have to say at the outset. This evening's? Event is paid for with official resources authorized by the US House of Representatives. Because of this any questions related to campaigns, including endorsements, are not allowed. I'm not permitted to talk. About that. And so we would ask you just to keep your questions policy focused tonight in a nonpartisan fashion. If you're interested in joining the queue to ask me a question, all you got. To do is dial star three. Star three gets you in the waiting line to ask a question. We've got a bunch of our folks here from the. Office tonight that are to answer your calls and get you in the queue, and we'll get as many questions as we can answered. I promise I'll try to get through as many as possible. If you also want to sign up for our weekly newsletter, dial ████ Six. We have about. ██

Just last week, 8,252 people got Nomorobo protection!

I love Nomorobo and have told a lot of people about it. It has made my life so much easier. I am a senior citizen. It has stopped many, many, many annoying calls. Thank you so much.

Who would have ever thought? Thank you!

First off, I just want to say Thank You! While not perfect, Nomorobo is still by far the best thing I have found to help deal with the endless BS calls from the wide assortment of scumbags and scammers who chose to torment us with their useless and unwanted calls at all hours of the day and night. Yes, some calls get through, until those numbers end up getting caught by Nomorobo, but this is a small price to pay for the peace of mind and lack of aggravation that is gained by the majority of calls being intercepted. As an individual with mobility issues, I can't express how much better it is with Nomorobo, to not have to jump up every time the phone rings, thinking it may be a call from family or friends, only to find out it was some d*ckhead from 1000 miles away, trying to con me into buying an extended automobile warranty or some other crap-tastic scam. I can now calmly wait to see if the call gets rejected after the first ring, before having to struggle to reach the phone, knowing that in most instances that call will be a legitimate call. The Nomorobo service has been extremely effective for us, and I tell others about it all the time. I hope that this service remains free of charge, as I feel that it is an added insult to have to pay for a service to keep from being harassed, scammed, and otherwise being victimized by the low life's of the world who chose the telephone as their weapon of choice to assault their victims. To be charged for the Nomorobo service, well, I liken that to having to pay for the police to show up at your house when a similar attempt at scamming you has been made in person. Please, continue to keep this service free for the benefit of all, I'm sure there is a way for you to monetize Nomorobo, without placing that burden on it's users. Again, thank you for the Nomorobo service, I can't express how much it has helped to keep the tele-scum at bay in our household!

It gets almost every call. Terrific, and well worth triple the cost.

This works great, 1 ring & gone,TOO bad it can't stop the Political & Charities, I give to whom I want to, not to callers.

It's great so far! I was getting so many of those calls, particularly in the evening hours, and Nomorobo has helped to make my evenings more peaceful without constant interruption from unwanted calls!

Finally something that stops annoying calls!

It has really worked blocking those annoying phone calls. Thanks

Nomorobo is an excellent service and worthy of our Editors' Choice award.
