- Transcript Good evening, this is Congressman Nathaniel Moran at 903-561-6349. I'm calling to invite you to join a live telephone town hall that I'm holding right now. I wanted to give you a few updates on my work in Congress and what I'm doing to serve the First Congressional District of Texas. I'll also be taking questions from each Texans, so just stay on the line to be connected. Please hold while we connect you to your Access Live event. This Access Live event is currently in progress. Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded or rebroadcast available to any of you that have issues that you need assistance with as it relates to federal agencies. I was talking to somebody from East Texas here today. They were up here on some policy issues and they had a separate question and it regarded signing up for Medicare and wanted to know if they could get some help in signing up for Medicare. And I said absolutely. So we're going to get them with one of our constituent services workers in the district and it's their job to work on your behalf as it relates to any problems or questions you have with the federal agencies. That's the IRS or VA or Social Security. Doesn't matter. We're happy to help you as best we can. You can always call our office. The main number 903-561-6349. Moran.house.gov is our website and all the stuff is there for you to fill out and contact us if you have questions at any point or if you need help. So anyway, we're again, we're so happy that you've decided to join us tonight. We'll go until about 8:00pm Central Time tonight and in the midst of that hope that we get some of your questions answered. I want to tell you a little bit as we're waiting for folks to come through with all their questions and get some queued up. Those of you that have been following me the last two years know that last session I served on three committees. Judiciary, Education, Workforce, Foreign Affairs. Those are my three committees and I had seven subcommittees this year a little different, worked hard on those committees and that gave us the opportunity to jump onto the Ways and Means Committee. Ways and Means Committee is going to be really important this year because we're dealing with a major piece of legislation called reconciliation. That's the process we're using to get to hopefully an extension of the tax cuts and jobs act from 2017 to keep everybody's taxes lower. Everybody. And I guarantee it'll be everybody.
