- Transcript Please listen to this important message from Franklin County. The following is a message from the City of Apalachicola. The City of Apalachicola has completed flushing the water main line and chlorine levels are stable. Residents should have clear water with minimal sulfur odor. If not, flush individual lines for five minutes. Keep precautionary boil water notice remains in effect until the back tea samples results are received. Potable water, laundry and shower facilities will be available until further notice. The local state of emergency is in effect until Friday, July 4th at 6:15pm Water Tanker Services will continue to operate at the following locations. Be sure to bring vessels and containers to hold your water. These resources are available for personal and commercial use. They can be found in the commercial district, under the bridge, in the residential district at 192 Coach Widener Boulevard and in the greater Apalachicola area at Williams Memorial Hospital. Shower laundry services are available at 192 Coach Wagner Boulevard and they're open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with security provided. Be sure to bring your laundry supplies and toiletries. Wear water shoes and do not leave small children unattended. Bottled water distribution will be at the Willis ace Hardware tomorrow, June 28th from 9am to 3pm the next scheduled city meeting will be on July 8th at 6pm at 74 6th street in Apalachicola.
