I'm going to start with a few questions that were submitted earlier to us online. Our first question was asked by █████ from Birch Run. Eight years of ████████████████ has our state going in the wrong direction? What is something you would do day one as governor? Well, the first thing that I would do as governor is I would make sure that I opt in to the tax credit that we got passed in the one big beautiful bill. It's a federal tax credit that allows parents to send their children where they will be safest and most successful. This is something that is extremely important opting into this bill because right now parents all over the country are able to opt in. These are our federal tax dollars and they're able to send their children get tutoring to be able to help with literacy on day one. I would opt into that to give parents the the ability to use those tax dollars to use the resources that other parents around the country are getting that ████████████████ could sign right now. And if she doesn't do the right thing then I will. Education is a massive issue right now. We are 44th out of ██. ████████████████ got rid of the of the standards for third grade reading and she's removed accountability and then she has the audacity to get up on our state legislature and give a state of the state and talk about how we've fallen behind in literacy. Well, we fell behind on literacy on her watch when she shut down all our schools, forced vaccinations and masked our kids. These are things that we're going to have to absolutely adjust. And the very first start is making sure that we avail ourselves of the federally available resources that other states are doing. But ████████████████ cares more about protecting her special interests than she does about helping your children. That ends and on day one, I will opt the state in so we can have access to those federal scholarship money and those credits so you can send your children where they'll be where they'll be most successful. Oh, by the way, just because these are federal dollars, I will protect homeschoolers. There will be no strings attached.
