  • Transcript Good evening. This is Blueridge Energy's telephone. Town hall for members. Please stay on the line to listen to the Town Hall and hear important updates from your CEO, Doug Johnson. At the end of tonight's meeting. You'll also have opportunity to ask questions. Please hold for a few moments. If you have other questions, please call our voicemail box at 878-2583. Thank you. Please hold while we connect you to your Access Live event. This Access Live event is currently in progress. Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded or rebroadcast from our Propane and fuel subsidiary this year to help offset some of the members impact from this wholesale power cost increase I mentioned earlier. And we're planning on another 2 million in 2024. We also must diligently manage our operating cost, and I can tell you this is a big challenge, considering the high inflation that we are facing and have faced and the continuing material supply disruptions that are continuing even today. Then we're going to be engaging you, our members, to help us reduce the peak demand for electricity as much as we can to help manage our cost. So during challenging times like this, I would also say it is very important to maintain Blue Ridge Energy's financial strength. And I'm pleased to say your cooperative is in excellent financial condition and this will help us to weather this storm. I want to thank you for staying with us tonight on this Town Hall meeting and giving me the opportunity to share this update with I will now turn it back over to Dirk to moderate our questions and answers. And Dirk, I'll give it back to you. Thank you. Thank you very much, Doug, for that informative update. And now for everyone on the line with it. If you've got a question you'd like to ask, now's the time to press star three on your telephone keypad to ask a question. Again, if you've got a question you'd like to ask, please press star three on your telephone keypad to enter the question queue. Doug is here to answer your questions, but before we get to those questions, I'd like your input on the following poll question. Again, we're going to ask you to use your telephone keypad to register your response. So here's the question. Are you aware of the capital credit's benefit of belonging to a cooperative?

Just last week, 8,255 people got Nomorobo protection!

It works well to bad it did not pick up election calls. There are also donation calls that slip through. Over all I would not ant to give it up.

Wonderful App. I appreciate that when my phone rings once and stops, Nomorobo has zapped another unwanted call. When one does get through, I place it on the Nomorobo list and never get it again.THANKS!!

I already have recommended Nomorobo to practically everyone I know! To borrow a phrase from my granddaughter, you rock! Can't thank you enough.

I think it has helped, but quite a few numbers (including Gallup) get through with a single ring, which is less annoying than talking to them, but very annoying, nonetheless because these callers tend to call every day. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that I use Vonage SimulRing to call my home and cell at the same time, but I'm not sure. I've learned that reporting a problem has no effect (but, heck, you're offering a free service, so ...), which I why I didn't bother.Of course, the 2014 political campaign season was still unbearable, and I don't look forward to 2016, but I think your service is a great help, and I appreciate it.

Satisfaction # 1: Hearing the phone ring only once and knowing the caller is history.Satisfaction # 2: Reporting callers that did bother me. Thank you many times a week. I have told lots of people about Nomorobo.

Best thing since sliced bread.

I don't know what the robocallers hear on their end of the line when their call is blocked but I know what I hear on my end--silence. Yes!

Help piece of mind and piece overall !
