- Transcript Good evening. This is your congressman, Ralph Norman, calling to invite you to join me for a live. Telephone town hall starting in just a few minutes. I'll be covering a wide variety of topics facing our federal government right now, including spending, immigration and host of other very important issues tonight. I'll. Be discussing solutions to these problems as our country moves forward. And as always, I'll be taking questions from as many callers as time will permit to join me, simply stay on the line and we'll begin in just a moment. For additional information or to reach my office. Please call 202 2551. Thank you. So much. You are joining a live conference already in progress. Please be aware that your local phone company may leave your line open for up to 32 seconds after you leave the conference, if you would like. To ask the speaker a question, please press zero. Federal funds meant to rein in waste. The problem. Judge Mcc. McConnell spent over a decade chairing the board of Crossroads Rhode Island, a group that benefits directly from those same funds. He didn't even recuse himself. That's a conflict of interest. That's some of the things. That. Donald Trump has had the courage to cut out. It's judicial activism and. This unelected judge is using the bench to push personal agendas. We got to hold. Him accountable, and they have to have consequences. We shouldn't have judges being politicians and robes. And that's the problem. We've. Got. Other judges around the country have blocked the executive orders on border security. Crackdown. They crack down. On catch and release of many times criminals, and that's what this president has taken upon. Himself to get out first. And they're not going to stop until they get the criminals. Out of the country, and if. You're in this country illegally, you're going home. He's working with Congress to support legislation that limits the ability of the lower courts to issue these national. Injunctions, which they don't have a right to do. This isn't just about court cases. It's about the future of our democracy. Congress. Has the power of the purse and the responsibility to rein in this judicial activism. And overreach. I just won't stand by while unelected judges get all the news and they try to rewrite our laws from the bench tariff negotiations. What has happened with President Trump is he wants fair trade and he wants reciprocal trade. Why is it fair for other countries to charge for our products and then us to not charge anything for theirs. It's been successful. It's been some heartache with it. I know in my industry. We get a lot of our lumber from Canada in the building industry. And the car manufacturers and. It's been on tough on a lot of businesses. I think it's going to prove a benefit. As you've seen in the news lately, where you have countries who want to make deals. With. That's good for America, not for the other countries. They've imposed targeted tariffs on chinese steel, mexican agricultural products and key canadian imports, where unfair practices were found. He's reopened talks with the European Union and the UK under terms that puts this country first. It ended, sweetheart. Deals negotiated under the past administration. That really prioritized. Globalism over american jobs. You can see the manufacturing revitalization. Saudi Arabia just recently is going to put probably close to trillion dollars in this economy. And through the building of factories and. there already has been car factories that are ramping up the production

It rocks! Saves us from so many calls. On the wishlist, each user could have a personal block list so that they could add numbers to the block list! I'd pay for that.
