- Transcript Prosecutor Peter J. Lisito, press two if you would like to not receive this type of call in the future. I am currently conducting a live, toll free town hall meeting over the phone about child support resources for Macomb county with my unit Chief Kim Shinnaman. For an opportunity to learn about the resources available and to ask me questions, please stay on the line and allow us to automatically connect you to my live town hall meeting. Again, this is Macomb county prosecutor Peter Jay Lisito, and welcome to my Teletown hall meeting, which is now in progress. Thank you. 586 493 4488. You are joining a live conference already in progress. Please be aware that your local phone company may leave your line open for up to 32 seconds after you leave the conference. If you would like to ask the speaker a question, please press zero. A statutory duty to establish paternity. That means to establish who is the father in a case when a baby is born. That's what paternity is. And then it is our duty to collect the child support to care for that child. We have DHHS, Department of Health and Human Services that provide for a mother who is having a child as well as the birth, prenatal care, postnatal care, all that money comes from the taxpayers and then to support the child if there's any state assistant. As a result, the individual that had been the father of the child has an absolute duty under law to take care of that child or children. And all we're doing is trying to recoup what the taxpayers have given out to support that child, to have the birth of that child, the prenatal care of the child, all those things that are necessary for the betterment of the child. So we do what's in the best interest of the child. Our unit, who we have here tonight, our chief of the unit, it's the child support or family division, unithood is Kimberly Shinnaman, and she's with me this evening. She is going to be also engaging in questions and answering. We are going to give you a number. If you have to call. If you don't get a chance to speak tonight, you can speak tomorrow. And I want to give everybody that number out of the gate. That number is area code 586-493-4488 I'm going to repeat it. Area code is 586-493-4488 and you can utilize that number to get your questions answered at any time during business hours so that we can get you the assistance you need either to get you on track if you've neglected to have the child support paid, if there's been a change in circumstances where you go on disability or lose your job, or better yet, if you don't make the same amount of money you used to make, we can give the adjustment, but also.

Just last week, 8,259 people got Nomorobo protection!

Nomorobo was GREAT during the lead up to the last election! All of the nuisance calls were blocked.Since I signed up, only about two robo calls have gotten through. Your service really works!I have recommended Nomorobo to all my family, and many of my friends.

I admire the design, I rely on its reliability, and I much appreciate the service it provides. Now, if the FCC would just expand this to the entire Do Not Call List!! Because their list is generally ignored by the aggravators & scammers, your technology and better/faster effort by FCC to add numbers to the list, would give America have an enforced system! FCC should have paid you an award 20 times greater for your devising a solution they could not. Many Thanks!

I love when the phone rings once, but no more. Then we know Nomorobo got it. Thanks for that!
