- Transcript League of Conservation voters calling to invite you to a live telephone town hall with exciting speakers happening right now to discuss getting out to the polls and how LCV members like you can get involved. In the next two weeks, we'll also be taking your questions live. It's free to participate, so just stay on the line to join. Thanks. Paid for by the League of Conservation Voters 202-835-0491 you are joining a live conference already in progress. Please be aware that your local phone company may leave your line open for up to 32 seconds after you leave the conference. If you would like to ask the speaker a question, please press zero. We have to do something about it. And in a sense, they're being forced into the movement as well to begin to think about it. This is happening in my home state, where just a few weeks ago, we had two back to back, once in a hundred year hurricanes. I actually flew through one of these hurricanes. I was invited by NOAA, the National oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, to fly with the hurricane hunters into Hurricane Milton. I accepted that offer, and I was on that plane as an observer. It was the most intense thing I've ever done in my life. We did a nine hour flight in the hurricane Milton. And we actually were the flight. I say we, I was an observer, but that flight was the flight that measured that historic low pressure, 987 millibars, which, for people who don't know, is an intense, intense hurricane fueled by the warm, hot tub temperature waters of the Gulf of Mexico, which are that warm because we continue to emit carbon to the atmosphere, destroying our planet and warming our waters, creating these extreme weather events to happen more often and more likely. We all know about Hurricane Maria. I actually have a lot of Puerto Ricans in my district. I always tell people, a lot of these folks, they're not immigrants, they are climate refugees. The largest group of climate refugees in the United States are in my district. People who had to leave their home in Puerto Rico because of Hurricane Maria. And so we have all these storms, we have all this going on. Extreme heat, extreme weather. Our movement's the largest it's ever been. The Inflation Reduction act was passed. The most resources put towards combating this, not in history of the United States, but in the history of humanity. And now we're staring down November in this election, where the choice is very clear. Donald Trump is not a pause on progress. Donald Trump is a significant rollback on progress. And if he's able to enact project 2025, not only, of course, does it inhibit our ability to help save our planet in those four years. But project 2025 is more than about four years. It's about changing politics for generations. And it could make it so we can't do anything for a long time. So I encourage everyone to keep fighting. Of course, we have to vote like our lives depend on it, because they do. But we also have to organize. We have to make sure that we bring people with us to the polls, that we're knocking doors, that are making phone calls. I know LCV is doing this work across the entire country.

Just last week, 8,252 people got Nomorobo protection!

The difference Nomorobo has made in our house is astounding. This was especially true during election season. I recommend Nomorobo to everyone I can. Thanks for giving back time and reducing stress. Wonderful service.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You made me a hero in my wife's eyes when I stumbled upon your service. When the phone rings just once, I can only smile, because I know another robocall has been blocked. In fact a robocall was just blocked as I write this! Keep up the good work. Can't wait for your service being available for smart phones.

It's fantastic! The only thing that could make it better (other than blocking every single robocall) is to not even ring once on my phone.
— Mark A, Nov 29th, 11:54am
Very happy with it. Works well.
