Throughout this campaign, ██████████████ has focused his message on building a city that is safer, more affordable, and more inclusive for every resident. Many of you know ██████ as a fourth generation Washingtonian, former prosecutor, former Ward 5 councilmember, and at large council member who has spent years working on issues like violence prevention, youth opportunity, economic development and government accountability. Good evening everyone and thank you for joining us here tonight. I'm ██████████████ and I believe leadership is measured by delivering results, not rhetoric. It continued as a mail carrier, walking neighborhoods across ████ door to door, listening to residents, getting to know families, and understanding the everyday challenges that people face across our city. Later, I served as a civil rights attorney in President █████'s Department of Justice, fighting to protect people's rights and hold systems accountable. And as a council member, first representing Ward 5 and then citywide, I've worked every day to make the government more responsible to the people that it serves. Throughout every chapter of my life, the mission has stayed the same stand up for working people, fix broken systems, and demand accountability from those in power. And I think.
