What it does is it extends hold harmless protections to state and local law enforcement officers if they work with their federal counterparts again to get violent criminals who are committing crimes in our community out of our community. Other things that I've done. Belo's act that's named after a soldier of mine when I served in the military. Belo was his last name. And it stands for benefits that endure for lifetimes of service. And it expands the ability for the family members of people who have had a service member die as a result of a service connected disability. It extends to them national parks access. Currently that access is only available to people who have died in the line of duty. And again, this expands it to all service connected deaths. Another piece of legislation, bipartisan legislation that I'm proud to bring, is the Medicare and Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act. And this legislation requires that if a doctor or other provider passes away, we have to go scrub the databases and remove the provider number from those databases because that that then takes that provider number out of circulation and if the provider is dead, it prevents that number from being used for any sort of fraudulent purposes. I am a big fan! One friend told me and me about it and I have been spreading the word to my family and friends. Even my four year old grandson now says, "Thank you Nomorobo" whenever he hears that one ring! Someone needs to come up with something to block the direct dial sales and political calls.
