Stay on the line to be connected to this meeting. This live town hall is being recorded. If you have any questions or comments for AARP, please call ██████████████. During regular business hours, please hold while we connect you to the AARP event. This AARP event is currently in progress. Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded or rebroadcast. If you would like to ask a question during Today's event, press Star 3 on your telephone keypad at any time for all of the callers that are on the call right now. So the question is, do you compare Medicare drug plans each year? So if you compare if you if for yes, press one and for no, press two. And that question again is do you compare your Medicare drug plans each year? So this question will have us kind of set our foundation for the conversation and really start to understand the callers that are on the call today. So that question one more time is do you compare your Medicare drug plans each year? Press 1 for yes, press 2 on your keypad for no. And those results are coming in in just a moment here and that this question there again will help us understand who's on the call and help us create a foundation for our conversation. So while we wait for those question, those responses to come in, ███████, I'm actually going to come back to you and ask about if you could tell us a little bit why it's so important for people on Medicare to review their prescription drug coverage each year. Sure, ███████. I'll be curious to see how Iowa compares, but we know that across the ██ Only three out of every ten Medicare beneficiaries actually do plan comparisons. And that is coming up very quickly tomorrow. Actually, █████████████████████████████████ is your opportunity to change plans and enroll in a prescription plan. And it is so important to really do that comparison of coverage. I think a lot of people do not appreciate or do not understand the fact that plans change each and every year. Basically, they renew their contract with Medicare each year, and during that renewal they have the opportunity to change the prescriptions. The plan can cover the monthly premiums they charge and even what pharmacies are in network. So with all of these changes happening every year, the plan that works for you in ████, even though it exists in ████, may not be a good fit. And what we really want to make sure people are doing first of all is opening and reading any mail you get from your plan and this is going to ensure that you're informed about any changes that are happening. Plans send out something this time of year, I think they have to mail by ███████████ that outline those changes. And understanding changes as a consumer is really important so that you know what you're looking for during your plan comparisons. And making sure that you are in the best plan that meets your needs not only can save you money, but it's also going to ensure that all your prescriptions are covered. Excellent. Thank you ███████. And interesting pieces. You mentioned that 3 of ██ people on average compare plans and we're a little bit above average today on the call. We are. About ██% of the people on the call today review their or compare their plans every year and ██% are no's. So that's great to hear that this call is starting off with people that are active and engaged.
