Hello, this is Congressman Brad Knott, your representative in the 13th district at 202-225-4531. I am calling to invite you to join a live telephone town hall I'm holding right now. I wanted to give you a few updates on what we've been working on on both the District and in Washington D.C. and also of course, take some questions. Just stay on the line to be connected. Thank you. Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded or rebroadcast through some of those. Very quickly and starting with ti, our proposal prioritized modernizing the air traffic control systems. It prioritized bolstering the Highway Trust Fund, which was previously on track to run out by 2028. And more importantly, it delineated structures and rolled back costly and unnecessary regulations to ensure that your money is spent more wisely. And it goes more directly to the shovel ready projects that we all depend on. In all in, we managed to find and cut in excess of $10 billion and again come in under budget on the Judiciary Committee without overspending. Our proposal funds immigration enforcement. It supplements agencies budgets to support public safety and the efficient processing of immigration cases, something that we have all prioritized for a number of years. And then similarly, the homeland security proposal that we submitted follows through on promises made and addresses key issues that I have heard all over our district and state and the country. We carved out funds to build the wall to finally give the Border Patrol officers the support that they need and that they deserve. And we also have started to fund really top level technology to surveil and defend every border in the United States, whether it's maritime borders, the northern border, southern border, and then of course entry by way of air. Again, all of this is being done and we were still able to come in 22 billion doll. And I will say, just as a point of extreme pride and humility, that coming in and being able to work on these priorities, these are some of the priorities that I ran on. These are some of the priorities that motivated me to run for Congress and to have a hand for the 13th district in helping build a secure border and build an effective deterrent. It has been a very real privilege for me and it was my honor and it's something that I took a lot of pride in. So thank you again for sending me here. In regards to the bill. I've also heard a lot from many of you about Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, et cetera.
