He seems to think that he's a king who can do whatever he wants. He feels he can defund whatever program he wants, abolish whatever agency he wants. And it's important that we the people send a clear message to Donald Trump that he is not a king. We are not his subjects. We are citizens, and we are able and willing and ready to fight for our democracy. And if there's one place in America that knows how to fight, it is the Bronx. For me, the story of the Bronx is not only a story of struggle, but it's also a story of overcoming, a story of resilience, a story of fighting back. Donald Trump is attacking our democracy, our economy, and our social safety net, Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, with a ferocity that we have not seen in recent history. And I want to assure you that Congressional Democrats are fighting back. We're fighting through litigation in the courtroom, we're fighting through mobilization on the streets, and we're fighting through legislation in the halls of Congress. We will leave no stone unturned in holding Donald Trump accountable. And I know that Democrats will take back the House.
