Please note, this event may be recorded. Hi, this is ███ with CHOIA Professionals, Florida. We are calling to invite you to join our telephone town hall event with Lt. Governor ██████████ taking place in just a few moments. Please just stay on the line and. We are in how far we've come. You know, a few years back, we ran overwhelmingly successful tort reform. We had ██% of the litigated aces and insurance cases. Here across the nation, just from this state. So ██% of the lawsuits. Came from the state. Interestingly, only ██% of litigators cases came from the states. Those numbers. Don't add up. As a guy with ██ fingers and five toes, I can tell you math wins. And that made me scratch my head just a little bit. So what has happened when we passed this tort reform and we slowed that down and still offer people their time in court, but less of the long term lawsuits? A few things happened when that bill passed. Just prior to it being voted on, there was a flooding of lawsuits into the system. That put us back some time. And then we had a series of hurricanes over the last couple years. But I'm proud to say that what Governor ████████ did. As is often the case, is almost always the case. Was spot on. We had, I think, down to two insurance companies. When tort reform happened, we were up to ██. Right now, with more primary secondary insurance companies coming in in our home insurance area in space, we have rate filings being stabilized and dropping as we speak. There are more insurance companies coming and our auto insurance space. We are the only state with rates dropping while everybody else is rising. That trend should continue as long as we can keep hurricanes off our coast. This will continue to be successful, that leads us to property tax relief. The fact is, there are so many things within insurance that are far beyond our control. We don't get to choose them. We don't get to control them. A lot of that is risk based, inflation based and driven by outside factors. But property tax is something we can deal with here. That's the lever we can pull. When you look at your home, we know that property value goes up year over year over year. It never stops. We also know that many of our municipal governments have an addiction to spending. But we don't talk about enough is the addiction to increasing spending via millage increase. So those two things compounding, you're getting double capped and you're dealing with this twice in terms of the value of your home going up and the cost to you and your family. Unrealized gain. So what do we do? I know this. I want to put more money in my pockets because I have those to pay. I have mouths to feed, and I am not generationally wealthy like most Floridians. So how do we do that? Exempting homesteaded properties from property tax, I believe, is the clearest manifestation of the American dream. We know. Owning your home. Is what people want to do and to own it free and clear. The government is ███% what we're aiming for. As homesteaded properties being free and clear of property tax. So I've heard a few concerns. People will tell us that, well, you're going to gut education or law enforcement or firefighters or our roads. And the simple fact is this. Governor ████████ has been the single most successful governor. In our state's modern history, if not ever. He has been an incredible, incredible leader for the state. He has fought diligently for education. He has fought to support. Our men and women in law enforcement are firefighters. and is driving roads to completion faster than anybody in
