Now I would like to turn over the conversation to Congresswoman ██████████. Congresswoman? All right. Well, good evening, everyone. Thank you so much, █████. And thank you all so much for joining us tonight. This is Congresswoman █████████████████, and I am so proud to represent ██████████'s 1st congressional district. which includes the ███████████ metro area and ten counties across central ██████████ for those of you that don't know our district actually goes all the way up to the ████████████ and out to ██████████ and south all the way through ███████████ and ███████ into ███████ county and picks up part of ████████ county so we've got quite a large district but tonight's focus is primarily going to be around public safety here in the ███████████ metro area which is part of why we've got our mayor in an incredible group of leaders from inside our city joining us tonight and in particular our office has received thousands of calls over the last several weeks about what has happened in ███████████ and ███████ and ███████████ and many people feeling very frightened about what's happening with the federal government as many of you know we are in a partial government shutdown of dhs right now which is the department of homeland security and so we just wanted to get on a call tonight with folks here in the albuquerque area to talk about what our city and our county and our communities and nonprofit organizations are doing together to help protect our communities especially as we're facing such unprecedented challenges at the federal level and even though tonight is going to be focused primarily on protecting our communities and public safety and protecting our immigrant communities we want you to know you can ask a question about anything you'd like tonight so ebony is going to give more instructions on what you can do to ask a live question but i want to say thank you to our mayor and to all of our city leadership for being here tonight over the last several weeks especially since there was an unprecedented surge of federal law enforcement into ███████████ and we've all unwatched as violence has unfolded in █████████ including
