Please note that this call may be monitored, recorded or re broadcast. At any time during the conversation this evening. Okay, let's get started. Now, we've got some of those preliminaries out of the way. In case you're just joining us. This is a live U.S. senate telephone town hall featuring Senator █████████████, who is about to speak to you. We want this to be collaborative. We want to get through as many questions as we can. So Senator is going to give some opening remarks if you would like to, and then we will open it up to you to ask him some questions. And one more time, if you want to get in the queue to ask a question, you can press star three at any time. That is the number three. As in three Husker teams all ranked at the moment, Volleyball and men's. And wins. Basketball. All right, with those out of the way, let's begin with some opening remarks. Senator ████████, good evening. Welcome. The floor is yours. Great. Well, hey, thank you. Very much, ███. And for the folks on the phone, I want you all to know that we are reaching kind of an end of an era here. ███████████, who has been doing these telephone town halls and many other things in my communication department, is returning back to ████████. So we're sad to see him leave. My office here in ████ but very happy that he's returning to the Husker State. So, ███, we wish you the best when you go back to ████████ at the end of the month. So thank you, sir. It's an honor, truly. Great. Well, hey, folks, thanks very much for joining us on this telephone town call. We'll get to your questions just a little bit. What I thought I'd do is kind of just do a real. Just kind of a quick overview or recap of what happened this year. Americans elected President █████ and Senate Republicans to get the country back on track. And we've been hitting the ground running this year. And I'm proud the work that we did to be able to deliver for Nebraskans. One of the things that I did when I was governors, I would travel the state, talk to people and listen to their concerns. I continued to do that this year. We handled a number of public events across the state, included town halls in central and western ████████, community meetings from Scotch Bluff to Omaha. I held a federal issues forum at the Nebraska State Fair and Grand island, where I also released my Ricketts review. At the state fair, this report outlined our work to keep Americans safe, make the American government work. And deliver our proven Nebraska solutions, things that I did when I was governor with our state, and bring those same ideas to Washington for the rest of America. And then, of course, doing these town halls as well is one of the things that I did as governor we continue to do as senator. One of the main highlights of this past year. Is passing the working families tax cut, which President █████ signed on ████████ as part of the One Big Beautiful bill. And this bill is great for families. First of all, it avoided a $███████ tax increase. That would have happened had that bill not been passed. But we were also able to make sure that we're doing a lot for families. So, for example, the child tax credit, which would have gotten cut in half from $███████ down to $███████, instead we expanded that out from $███████ to $███████. In addition, we were able to take the dependent care tax write off from ██% to ██% and from $███████ to $███████ for people who have those dependents at home. We were able to pass no tax on tips. No tax on overtime. We were able to create a $███████ tax credit for Social Security. And that means ██% of seniors will not pay federal income tax on their Social Security benefits. And, folks, that's the way Social Security actually started out back in the █████. It was not being taxed. We were able to do all this. And the President's Council of Economic Advisers. estimates that by the end of this next four years are now coming up
