- Transcript Hello This call is being made for compliance reasons we have an additional update regarding your federal student loan being serviced by now and that now the Great Lakes or similar consolidation servicers Nabby it is currently being sued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other servicers are facing the same issue the reason for the suit is that they have refused to help their clients with any programs that could possibly forgive the balance of their loans the government has mandated that all third party loan servicers notify their clients of the government forgiveness programs available through the Department of Education your servicer does not directly offer forgiveness programs and have failed to notify its clients in addition the new secretary of education Betsy the Vos is looking to get rid of parts of the federal student loan forgiveness program the D.O.A. forgiveness programs are still available to all as of right now for eligibility press 5 now if you have your F.S.A. ID press 7 if you need help or treating it thank you.
