We had even gone so far to buy a phone that announces the caller's ID, so we wouldn't answer the 800 calls. But then the masked local calls started coming too. (Optimum) and they discovered ALL our calls were being sent to "robo". They advised switching call forwarding to "off". They reset the modem and the problem was solved. After a few weeks, I reestablished "robo"--it worked for about a month when the same problem occurred. After Optimum again corrected the problem, I never switched back to "robo". I would appreciate your comments
